Notice is hereby given to the taxpayers of the library district known as Fulton County Public Library (the “Library”) that the Fulton County Council (the “County Council”) will meet at the Commissioners’ Room of the Fulton County Annex Building, 125 E 9th Street, Rochester, Indiana, at the hour of 5:00 p.m. (Local Time) on July 16, 2024, to consider the following additional appropriation of potential bond proceeds (the “Bonds”) which the Library Board (the “Board”) may issue. The Board considers such additional appropriation necessary to meet the need existing at this time:
An appropriation in the amount of $2,800,000, plus all original issue premium and investment earnings thereon, on account of the renovation of and improvements to the Aubbee, Fulton, and Rochester branches, including site improvements, and the purchase of equipment and technology (the “Project”) in the Library district, including the incidental expenses necessary to be incurred in connection with the project and the issuance of bonds on account thereof. The funds to meet such additional appropriation are to be provided by the issuance and sale of Bonds by the Library.
The foregoing appropriation is in addition to all appropriations provided for in the existing budget and tax levy, and a need for such appropriation exists by reason of the inadequacy of the present buildings to provide necessary library facilities in the Library district.
Taxpayers of the Library district appearing at said meeting shall have the right to be heard in respect to said additional appropriation.
Dated this 3rd day of July, 2024.
/s/ County Auditor, Fulton County, Indiana
